Dr. Kavita Patel served on the Obama Administration as director of policy for the Office of Intergovernmental Affairs and Public Engagement in the White House. While there, she was senior aid to Valerie Jarrett, President Obama’s senior advisor, Dr. Patel played a critical role in policy development and initiatives related to health reform, financial regulatory reform, and economic recovery issues. Dr. Patel was also the director of clinical transformation at the Center for Health Policy at Brookings and an advisor to the Bipartisan Policy Center and participant of the Health and Human Services Physician Focused Payment Model Technical Advisory Committee. Today, you will find her in Baltimore, MD a part of John’s Hopkins leadership team,  serving as Vice President of their Health System working on issues such as payer and provider strategies.
